Media Literacy

Many students say they are "tech savvy"; however, having access to and the ability to use multi media devices does not guarantee that students are fully aware of all the responsibilities that go along with that. Many are only participating in surface exposure. It is our job as parents and educators to teach the students how to analyze the messages they receive from the media every day.

  1. I feel that many times we as parents and educators forget (or perhaps overlook) the fact that we must teach learners to breakdown and find the truth and relevance in media productions. I believe there once was an old wive's tale that said something along the lines of: believe only half of what you see, half of what you hear, and half of what you see. Very nice article review. Your transitions and narration went very well with the article.
